Organisations involved in the recovery
There are many different government departments (federal, state, local), organisations, charities and local businesses involved in the support and recovery effort. The list below explains a bit about each organisation and what they're doing. Click on the links to access their websites. Key information on topics that affect us are covered in the 'Resources' page on this website.
Victorian State Government. Link to the Emergency Recovery Victoria website here. Or call 1800 560 760 weekdays 8am - 7pm or weekends / public holidays 9am - 5pm. Go to this central website links to the many government services and supports, including financial.
Strathbogie Shire Council. Link to the Council's dedicated Longwood bushfire community information and updates. This page links to many services, including information about which services will be available at the Bushfire Recovery Hub (34 Railway Street, Euroa). The Recovery Hub is open 9am - 3pm on weekdays, or by appointment if you call Council on 1800 065 993.
Also note that the Gooram Recovery Committee is working closely with the Council to share information about what's happening and what's needed, and advocate for additional support for our community.

Victorian Farmers' Federation (VFF) is the Victorian government's principal partner in providing fodder. For information and how you apply here through their Emergency Fodder Support Program or calling 1300 882 833 or emailing vff@vff.org.au
BlazeAid is a volunteer charity providing fencing primarily for people who are uninsured or under-insured. They have established a camp at Euroa Showgrounds. To apply for help contact them here. Also complete the contact form on this website and let us know you're looking for help with fencing and we'll connect you with a Gooram coordinator as well.

Rural Finance is the organisation to contact about Victorian Primary Producer Bushfire Recovery Grants. Information about the grants and links to apply can be found on their website here.
