Applying for new permits

This page will have information about the process and application costs for external requirements associated with rebuilding.  These include Bushfire Attack Level (BAL) ratings, soil testing for septics etc.   There will be more information and fact sheets in this section as soon as new details become available.

Rebuilding after the fires - Community Information Session

Wednesday 29th of April.  5pm - 6pm.  1489 Creighton's Creek Road, Creighton's Creek.  Council planning, building and environmental health officers, plus a CFA liaison, will present on rebuilding matters, including permits, BAL ratings, site considerations, septics and waste water.  

If you can't make it, the session will be recorded AND you can also visit council representatives at the Euroa Recovery Hub every Wednesday from 12 noon  - 3pm.

Streamlined planning pathway

  • Strathbogie Shire Council is developing a streamlined planning pathway for short, medium and long term accommodation applications, and advocating for resources to support the community navigating these pathways.

Reduced cost of external requirements

  • Strathbogie Shire Council has recognised this as an issue and will be advocating to Emergency Recovery Victoria and the State Government to offer subsidies or some kind of financial support.
