This page will have information about the process and application costs for external requirements associated with rebuilding. These include Bushfire Attack Level (BAL) ratings, soil testing for septics etc. There will be more information and fact sheets in this section as soon as new details become available.
Rebuilding after the fires - Community Information Session
This session was held on Wednesday 29th of April. 5pm - 6pm. 1489 Creighton's Creek Road, Creighton's Creek. Council planning, building and environmental health officers, plus a CFA liaison. It included a presention on rebuilding matters, including permits, BAL ratings, site considerations, septics and waste water.

Streamlined planning pathway
- Strathbogie Shire Council is developing a streamlined planning pathway for short, medium and long term accommodation applications, and advocating for resources to support the community navigating these pathways.
Reduced cost of external requirements
- Strathbogie Shire Council has recognised this as an issue and will be advocating to Emergency Recovery Victoria and the State Government to offer subsidies or some kind of financial support.
